Websites for contractors that ask about the job first

Homeowners pick a contractor by looking at jobs like theirs, then asking for a price. Your site shows your real work and takes the request with the size, the photos and the zip code already in it.

Where it goes wrong today

1

Stock photos next to real decks

A homeowner comparing a few contractors goes straight to the pictures. A model in a spotless hard hat tells them nothing. A phone photo of a fence you built in the next town over tells them you do this work, nearby, and finish it.

2

Calls from places you do not work

If the towns you cover are buried in the footer or missing, the phone rings from people you will never drive to. Meanwhile the homeowner two streets away is not sure you come to them and calls someone else.

3

Requests with nothing in them

"How much for a deck?" with no size, no photos and no address turns into a call back, a voicemail and a quote that goes nowhere. Each one that shows up without the basics is another phone call after a long day on site.

What your site does

A project request that arrives with the details

Instead of a bare contact box, the visitor picks the kind of job, gives a rough size, adds a few photos from their phone and types a zip code. You get one message with what you need to decide whether it is worth a site visit. People outside your area find that out before they send, not after you call back.

How a customer uses it

  1. Pick the job: deck, fence, concrete, roofing, remodel or something else.
  2. Give a rough size, like square feet of deck or feet of fence, and when they would like to start.
  3. Add photos of the yard, the old deck or the roof, straight from the phone.
  4. Enter a zip code. Inside your area the request reaches you right away. Outside it, they see a short note first.

What your site can include

  • Gallery of your real jobs, sorted by type, with the town under each photo
  • The towns and zip codes you cover, written out in plain words
  • License and insurance details near the top, where people check for them
  • Tap-to-call button that stays on screen on a phone
  • Project request with job type, size, timing, photos and zip code
  • Your Google reviews quoted word for word, with a link to all of them on Google
  • A page for each service, so someone looking for a fence reads about fences
  • Google Maps and the SEO basics, on your own domain with SSL

We agree what goes into your site on the 15 minute call, and the fixed price covers all of it.

Questions owners ask

Most of my work comes from referrals. Do I need a website?

Referrals still look you up before they call. A site with your real jobs and your license details makes that check easy. It also takes requests in the evening, when you are off the job and they are at the kitchen table planning.

I only have phone photos of my jobs. Is that enough?

Yes. Photos of real jobs do more than stock pictures, even when the light is not perfect. Send us what you have, and we pick the best ones and sort them by type of job.

Can the site cut down on calls from outside my area?

The site lists the towns you cover, and the request form checks the zip code before anything is sent. Someone outside your area sees a short note saying so. Some people will still call without reading, but nobody has to guess anymore.

What does it cost, and what if I do not like it?

A fixed price, agreed on a 15 minute call before any work starts. We build the first version free and have it on your phone in 2 days, so you click around it before deciding. If it is not for you, you owe nothing. Get your free preview.

You are in Lithuania. Have you built for US contractors?

Not yet. Our clients so far are in Lithuania and Sweden, including the deck builder, the terrace roof maker and the excavation company above. We build remotely, and Robertas, who runs builtlit, is in the Chicago area until November 18, 2026 and happy to meet in person.
