Privacy policy

This page explains what we collect when you visit builtlit.com or use the website grader, who sees it, who helps us run it, and how to have it deleted. The short version: we only keep what you type into our forms, we use it to answer you, and we never sell it.

1. Who we are

builtlit is the US name of built.lt, a small web studio from Lithuania. The person responsible for your data (the "controller") is:

Robertas Mickus, individual activity (certificate No. 1508834), trading as built.lt and builtlit

Kaunas, Lithuania

Email: info@builtlit.com

WhatsApp: +370 643 77771

Two people see what you send us: Robertas Mickus and his partner Arminas Karmazinas.

2. What we collect

  • The website address you check in the website grader, and the report we make from it. We only read the public page, the way any browser does.
  • What you type into a form, if you choose to send it: your name, business name, email address, phone number, your current website address and the best time to reach you.
  • Which link brought you here, if you came from one of our ads or cards (for example a link ending in ?k=card). It is kept in your browser tab only until you close it, and it travels with your form so we know which ad or card worked. It is not a cookie.
  • What you type into the chat helper ("Ask builtlit"), if you use it. It is sent to Anthropic, which writes the answer. We do not store chat conversations on our side; your browser keeps the conversation in the open tab until you close it. Please do not type passwords or payment details into it.
  • Technical data that every website receives: your IP address, browser and device type and the time of your visit. Our hosting provider sees it to serve the page and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you.

builtlit.com sets no cookies, runs no advertising pixel and no visitor tracking.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your request and talk to you about your website. This is the reason you send us the form, and it is the step before any agreement.
  • To know which of our ads and cards bring requests, so we stop paying for the ones that do not. This is our legitimate interest; you can object by writing to us.
  • To keep the site and the grader working and safe, for example by limiting how many checks one visitor can run per minute.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

4. Who helps us run it

Only the services the site and our replies cannot work without:

  • Vercel: hosting for builtlit.com and the grader.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights: receives the website address you check, to run Google's speed test. It does not receive your name or contact details.
  • Anthropic: writes the answers in the chat helper. It receives only what you type in the chat, under its commercial terms and Anthropic's privacy policy.
  • Supabase: the database of our customer system, where form requests are stored.
  • Telegram: a private notification to the two of us that a new request came in.
  • Hostinger and Google (Gmail): email, which we use to answer you.

Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, the safeguards required by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

  • Form requests: up to 2 years.
  • Contracts and invoices, if we work together: 10 years, as Lithuanian law requires.
  • Technical data: up to 12 months.
  • The ad or card marker in your browser tab: until you close the tab.
  • Chat conversations: not stored by us; kept in your browser tab until you close it.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to us at the address above and we will answer within one month.

Because we are based in Lithuania, the GDPR applies. It also gives you the right to restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable form, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to complain to the Lithuanian data protection authority, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).

7. Security and changes

The site works only over encrypted HTTPS, and only the two people named above can open form requests. If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
