Google review QR code and counter cards
Paste your Google review link and get a QR code, cards to print for the counter and three messages to send customers. Every message follows Google's review rules, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Make your review QR code
Your QR code
Paste your review link and your QR code shows up here.
Scan it with your own phone once before you print. Customers need a Google Account to post a review, and Google says any email address works for one, not only Gmail.
Print cards for the counter
One sheet of US Letter paper. Cut along the dashed lines. For table tents, fold along the dotted line so the card stands on its own.
Paste your review link first, then print.
Messages to send
Swap [Name] for the customer's first name. Send it the same day, to every customer.
Subject
Message
Receipt or invoice line
None of these ask for five stars, suggest what to write or offer anything in return. Google's Maps content policy forbids all three. Keep that true if you change the wording.
Where to find your review link
- Go to your Business Profile on Google, signed in with the account that manages it.
- Select
Read Reviews , thenGet more reviews . - Select
Copy and paste the link at the top of this page.
Steps from Google's help page Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews. The same page says Google's own review QR codes can only be made in a computer browser for now. This page makes one from your link on a phone as well.
Asking within the rules
- Ask every customer the same way, right after the job.
- No discounts, gifts or free services in exchange for a review.
- Don't ask for five stars, and don't tell people what to write.
- Don't send the link only to the customers you think were happy.
- Hand over the card and let them post later. Google's policy says no pressure while they are on your premises.

Questions owners ask
Where do I find my Google review link?
Go to your Google Business Profile, select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews, and select Copy. Those are the steps on Google's help page about creating a link or QR code to request reviews. The same page says Google's own review QR codes can only be made in a computer browser for now. This page makes one from your link on a phone too.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The QR code is your link drawn as a pattern, so it works for as long as the link works. It doesn't go through our servers and there is nothing to renew.
Can I give a discount or a small gift for a review?
Not for Google reviews. Google's rules for reviews on Maps forbids incentives such as payment, discounts, free goods or services in exchange for a review. Ask every customer the same way and leave the rating to them.
Is it okay to send the link only to happy customers?
No. Google's policy says businesses may not selectively solicit positive reviews. The FTC says its review rule has no specific ban on it, but that the practice could still violate the FTC Act (FTC questions and answers). Send it to everyone.
Do you see what I type here?
No. The QR code, the cards and the messages are made in your browser. Nothing you type on this page is sent to us or stored.
